My name is Bonnie. I have been coming for chiropractic adjustments for 5 ½ years and I am a “believer” in chiropractic medicine even throughout my pregnancy. However, this success story is not about myself but my 3-year-old daughter, Melinda.

Melinda had 5 ear infections the first winter after she was born. The following
winter, Melinda’s ear infections returned with a vengeance. Multiple doses of
potent antibiotics were necessary to fight these infections which were re-occurring
every 2-4 weeks. Her body had become resistant to the lesser antibiotics. The
pediatrician was not concerned, but I was. I knew that resistance to multiple
antibiotics could be deadly. The pediatrician had no suggestions for prevention
and only treated the infection.

Although Dr. Bajakian suggested adjustments for Melinda multiple times, I was not convinced until the end of October 1999. Melinda, who had rarely complained about her ear infections, woke up crying in the middle of the night in tremendous pain. When the on call doctor, at the pediatrician’s office, got out of his car the next morning, she ran to him in the parking lot and through her arms around his legs. She asked him to fix the boo-boo in her ears. It was very cute but extremely unnerving to me as a mother.

I then knew that I had to try everything to PREVENT these ear infections. We finally decided to try Chiropractic and I informed the pediatrician of our decision (she was less than agreeable).

Melinda first went for a Chiropractic evaluation at the beginning of November 1999. The evaluation concluded that her dairy intake should be dropped dramatically because it creates mucous. Without decreasing the amount of mucous the adjustments would be less effective.

Within one week, her nose stopped running completely. She has had weekly adjustments for 6 months and she has had only one mild ear problem. She loves coming to get the “POPCORN” out of her neck. She knows Dr. Bryan’s office every time we pass the building. She has rarely has a runny nose and NO EAR INFECTIONS! The pediatrician is amazed at how healthy her ears are. She is still skeptical, but to me seeing is believing.

I am overjoyed with the results of Chiropractic on ear infections. I’ve told my co-workers, teachers, friends, and every mother I meet about her dramatic improvement. I am completely confident in Dr. Bryan. My only regret is that I didn’t listen to his advice sooner.
